Multi-Access
The Multi-Access is a key component in Ambient Network enabling the co-operation between heterogeneous access technologies in a multi-operator environment. The Multi Access shall provide cost effective, affordable, wireless bandwidth practically everywhere and enable smooth inter-working between either competitive or cooperative parties.

The Multi-Radio Access includes two main inter-related functional groups, the
Multi-Radio Resource Management (MRRM), which provides an advanced joint management of radio resources including access advertisement, access discovery, access selection and load sharing between the different radio accesses, and the
Generic Link Layer (GLL), which provides a unified link layer processing and offers a unified interface towards higher layers and an adaptation to the underlying RATs. The GLL also enables efficient multi-hop forwarding of data packets across different RATs.
